»We’ll never do S/4HANA like this!« Back to the standards—
while keeping user satisfaction high
A technical equipment wholesaler had spent a good while on the rollout of its SAP system, in partnership with an international consulting services firm. The problem was that this company’s technical experts had been brought in from abroad, while the German consultants had a lot of experience in project management but virtually none with SAP. To make things worse, end users had been happy with the old system and now complained about the increasingly complex processes during the rollout. We were asked to help out.
Our mission here was to get key processes like pricing, reservations and service more in line with standard SAP again: this would not only ensure that end users faced no problems in their work but would enable the system to be migrated easily to S/4HANA.
