»Everyone wants a say« From DIY SAP
back to the standard
The CIO of the large mid-sized business didn’t mince his words: »At our company, every one of the 60 subsidiaries worldwide does their own thing, SAP-wise: the processes don’t match up and getting a quick management overview is well-nigh impossible. But no-one wants to give up their pet project.«
Our task here was to get all of the foreign subsidiaries back onto a shared standard—and in this case, the most appropriate standard SAP install. And to do this while convincing the subsidiaries that this was in everyone’s interests and didn’t limit their own options.
At the same time as working on process optimisation and the SAP system, we organised an international roadshow with SAP stakeholders from the subsidiaries. We used a model company here to demonstrate the benefits of the new—and greatly simplified templates—for all concerned.
